Nate and Kayla met long before either of them understood what their story would become. Nate was thirteen, spending his days riding dirt bikes with Kayla’s younger brother, never imagining that the girl nearby would one day become his wife. Kayla, who was sixteen at the time, remembers watching Nate and having a quiet, unexplainable thought that he would one day make a wonderful husband. Neither of them could have known then that God was already preparing their hearts for a shared future.As the years passed, Nate and Kayla’s lives remained closely intertwined. What began as simply being around each other grew into a steady friendship, and eventually, a deep and certain love. Nate found in Kayla a constant source of encouragement, faith, and peace, while Kayla admired Nate’s servant’s heart and the way he loved and cared for others so naturally. Being together never felt forced or uncertain. It felt steady, familiar, and deeply rooted.Nate and Kayla grew up side by side, walking through every season together. From traveling across the country for Arenacross to navigating everyday life and building dreams one step at a time, each chapter strengthened the foundation they shared. They learned to trust one another and trust God, often stepping forward without knowing every detail, but always confident they were walking in the right direction together. Through it all, Nate remained grounded by Kayla’s unwavering presence, and Kayla remained inspired by Nate’s strength, leadership, and faith.When Nate decided it was time to propose, he carefully planned a day Kayla would never expect. He arranged a special lunch and then brought her to the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta. As they walked the paths together, circling the gardens several times, Kayla began to wonder why they kept looping the same places, unaware that Nate was waiting patiently for the perfect moment. Finally, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the gardens, Nate got down on one knee and asked Kayla to spend forever with him. In that moment, everything felt still, certain, and exactly as God had always intended.From the very beginning, Nate and Kayla’s relationship has been rooted in their shared faith in Jesus. Nate has always been intentional in leading their relationship with faith and purpose, and together they believe marriage is more than a promise. It is a covenant before the Lord, a commitment to serve Him and one another as one. They strive to reflect Christ’s love through their actions, their service, and the life they are building together.As Nate and Kayla look toward the future, they see a life filled with purpose. Nate looks forward to leading and loving Kayla through every season, while Kayla looks forward to continuing to walk beside him in faith and trust. Together, they hope to grow closer to Jesus each day, to build a family grounded in faith, and to serve others with open hearts. Above all, Nate and Kayla look forward to a lifetime side by side, grateful for the story God has been writing since the very beginning and confident that this is only the start.
